Hi,
I've been searching for Georgia educators on here to invite you to an event you might be interested in. It's the first meeting for the Qrious Think Tank, a group I put together for teachers interested in action research and publishing. Details listed here:

Happy New Year! I was wondering if you, your educator contacts or students would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Georgia!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
Hmmm...I think I might have a little bit of the same personality disorder! ;-) Yes, it was a time-consuming course, but I'm so glad I participated because I never would have discovered all that on my own! My two favorites: blogging and delicious. My goal now is to pare down and think about what would be best to use with my fourth graders.
I am going on my 5th year at Lovett. My first two years were spent as an assistant in 5th grade (I was getting my Master's at the time) and for the last two years I've been a lead 4th grade teacher. Last year we piloted a 1:1 laptop program in 4th grade, and it was a huge success--for us as teachers and of course for the kids. Actually, I've been teaching a "catch up" laptop course to the group of 5th graders newly accepted to Lovett. This is such a great place to work!
See you soon!
P.S. I would love to share stories about Costa Rica! What an amazing place to visit--and NOT think about Web 2.0!
