Your kids can try eNoteFile to take electronic notes with quick visual search and filing - as well as sync and share (www.enotefile.com).

Hi Sylvianne,
eNoteFile allows students to upload graphics and share their electronic notes.
They can search by where they've marked on a page or 'slide' through pages using Windows Presentation Foundation.

Is .NET another way to say Visual Basic? I tried the site but I get "The server at www.enotefile.com is taking too long to respond."
