Bria Pilkinton replied to Julia Trygstad's discussion Tap-IT in the group Supporting Assistive Technology in the classroom
"I remember talking about this in class. I think it is an excellent device. It can help so many different kids with different disabilites becuase of how much it can do and they way it was designed. I find it much better than a smartboard or overhead."

Bria, my name is Leon Avrech,, retired teacher in San Jose, CA. I recently wrote a book that would be an enormous help to you and the other students at Illinois State Univ.
The book is "THINK YOU CAN TEACH? A SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS". It would be a tremendous help to you. The book begins at your first day walking on the school campus and feeling that trepidation and excitement to the end of year evaluation. Parent conferences, classroom management, yard duty, lesson planning etc. etc. Available at amazon.com borders.com barnesandnoble.com xlibris.com $10. for all that experience. I have a sincere passion to help new teachers.
