- My name is Ana Almiron and I've been teaching English as a Second Language for over 20 years. I was born in Asuncion, Paraguay. When I was 9 months old, my parents and I moved to the US, where we lived for 14 years. Back in Paraguay, my classmates in high school were always asking me to help them with their English homework and to help them study for tests; that's how I realized I liked teaching, and that's what I've been doing ever since.
