Alok, I encourage you to visit the Chicago Tutor/Mentor Program Locator which is a map/database of volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs in the Chicago region. Seems like you're doing something similar to help people find child care services.

Our maps are just part of our service. The real goal is to help high quality volunteer based tutoring/mentoring programs be in all high poverty neighborhoods of the city/suburbs. To illustrate this goal we use a variety of visual information. If you skim through some of our blog articles you'll see this.

I think there are many ways that design students can help communicate ideas that help social services and education services be more available. I look forward to connecting with you.,
