Profile Information

About Me: Cebu International School is my first international school posting. I am now in my 5th year as the Head of the Media Center. This position combines my past expertise in educational technology with the wealth of resources available in the library. At CIS I am actively seeking to build a Learning Hub that successfully blends the traditional role of a library with the requirements of the 21st century global student.

In 2009 I was appointed Head of the Foreign Languages Department and Spanish B teacher. Playing two roles at a time is proving to be very challenging but above all, being the Head of Foreign Languages is making me realize how much I enjoy curriculum development and design. Furthermore, being head of foreign languages is giving me the opportunity to help my team focuse on project-based learning that naturally embeds information literacy skills and the authentic use of technology tools as appropriate for our 21st century learning environment.
