With your work in Technology Integration for Jefferson Parish, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording you might find of interest.
At the Net2NO meeting tonight we discussed using the tech savvy people (as volunteers) in town to teach the teachers how to use the technology at their disposal. Do you think a similar system could work in Jeff Parish? A better question may be, is it even needed?
I think 13 people have signed up to collaborate, but I don't think anyone has put any fun facts on the wiki yet. I will begin having my students work on it in October. We are finishing up the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs poject and have the O.R.E.O. project coming up next.
I teach fourth grade math and English at Bissonet Plaza. I have started a Ning for the fourth grade teachers in our parish.

Hi Alexis,
What schools do you work with? Are the specialists spending time at each school this year? We've had Tracy come for a week for the last couple of years. I'm having so much fun learning how to embed Web 2.0 into my lessons. Just learned about Goomoodleikiog today. Love the concept. Can Moodlle be hosted by my school's server? Would love to start using it.
