Hi everyone - Gmail service is turned off for our users since we use Exchange for email.

But I wanted to still have a member receive an email alert when a doc is shared with them. I added a destination to a user and put their exchange school email address in. But she is still not receiving any notifications.

I referred to this help doc:

Does anyone know what I may be missing? Thank you!

Since our faculty still uses exchange, I had them go into their google apps email and add a forwading address to their school email address. It works fine.
hmm but when I go to turn on gmail services it asks me about changing the MX records which has disrupted our email service in the past. did you have to do the same?
I think the difference is I leave the gmail service on and then each faculty user sets up forwarding from within their gmail account.
