Uncle Tom actually did take the cabin with him. He had his bible with him that he also had in the cabin back in Kentucky. He cared for Eva just like he did with his own daughter when he was in Kentucky. He shared the word of God to everyone he came in contact with. For example, he & Eva read the bible together. “At first, she read to please her humble friend; but soon her own earnest nature threw out its tendrils, & wound itself around the majestic book; & Eva loved it, because it woke in her strange yearnings, & strong, dim emotions, such as impassioned, imaginative children love to feel.”
