I attended several sessions at NECC on Web 2.0 tools. Many were tools I've used before, or I've seen but not used, or heard of but not looked at - and some I'd never heard of.

But together they make such a great collection that I felt the need to share with others, as I have never seen all of these listed together in one place. No doubt you've seen many of these before, but I hope you find something new here that will excite and inspire your students:

Ditto. I've heard of some of these and am checking out the ones I haven't.

My problem with finding out about new technologies is that if I don't use it immediately, I won't remember it later when I could use. I see a use for http://www.yourgmap.com/ next April through July. I saved it in Delicious but am really hoping that I'll remember to look for it when I need it.

Does anyone have a better way of tracking or marking websites for future use?

I know your point on this. I have too seen some of these websites and used some, however, I do forget about them if I don't readily use them. I am hoping to create a document on google docs (which I use daily) with all of these websites listed and regularly check and update so as not to forget them. That's my best advice.

I still use a paper-and-pencil plan book, and meet w/ the grade level teachers at the beginning of each year. I keep grade level outlines in the back of my plan book based on the year's unit outline that they provide me, and the projects we discuss. When I find a tool that I think might be useful for some future unit or project, I write it down there so that I will see it when I start to plan for that, as I am constantly referring back to it.

Not a high-tech solution, but it works for me!
