Does anyone know of a good central resource for learning how schools operate in different countries? I am interested in making comparisons and learning from the wisdom and experience of others. Our thinking can sometimes get stuck in the system in which we work.

In Europe there is an institution called 'The Eurydice Network' that compiles many statistics and observations of 33 countries in Europe http://eacea.ec.europa.eu/education/eurydice/index_en.php . I also believe that UNESCO compiles similar, if not as deep. statistics.
