Hello classroom 2.0 world! My class and I are looking for a social networking site that will help us communicate about work and various questions. If this is a good site, please comment. Thanks in advance.

In my Instructional Technology graduate class we used a site called Voicehread- where you can upload video if you have a webcam, or just record your comments using a microphone.  It's not live- but you could use it to pose questions and have people respond that way.  www.voicethread.com or you can use www.ed.voicethread.com which I think has paid subscriptions and you can set up a basic Voicethread account for free.

Kate,

Thank you so much for your expertise and the information.  I will take a look at this site, as it is alway great to find innovative technology sites.

I think EdModo is great because it is a safe place where teachers can easily control the content that is being posted.

“Edmodo promotes anytime, anyplace learning. Functionally, it allows teachers to post messages, discuss classroom topics, assign and grade classwork, share content and materials, and network and exchange ideas with their peers”

Here's the link: www.edmodo.com
