multimedia math ideas

I'm getting ready for a math professionsl development day. We are looking at creating some multi-media/2.0 type assignments for 8th grade math. I'm looking at some very general guidelines, something along the lines of "use multi-media to show understanding of such and such topic". Could be video, powerpoints, etc. Any ideas? Also looking for ideas on things such as a rubric for the product. Thanks.

HI -- you haven't said anything about the grade level or how much background your math teachers have.

8th grade math, beginning levels of low algebra. Most all of our teachers are technology literate. We have lots of access to technology at the school including laptops for students, flip cams, etc.
