About Me
I'm a Canadian living in Tokyo, Japan. I teach English as a Foreign Language at two universities: Toyo Gakuen University (Nagareyama, Chiba campus) and Shibaura Institute of Technology (Higashi Omiya, Saitama campus). The majority of the students I'm teaching at the moment are 3 L learners (Low proficiency, Low motivation and Low self-esteem). A great many of these students have few computer skills, beyond the skills necessary for using a mobile phone. Consequently I'm interested in applications for mobile phones.
I have also taught in secondary schools and at language schools. I've taught learners from 3 to 80.
I began using Web technologies while teaching at a high school in Tokyo. I started my blog at that time.
Along with Classroom 2.0, I belong to EFL Classroom 2.0, and I belong to the following professional organisations: JALT, ETJ, and the Nakasendo English Conference.
I'm always keen to work on collaborative projects. Hope you'll get in touch and let me know what you're working on. Perhaps we can do something together.

The image consists of 3 major L-shaped brush strokes. They represent three words describing my approach to life: Loving, Laughing and Learning. The… Continue

Hi Michael!

Thanks for this invite too. Not really sure if I'll be able to contribute so much in so many places, but I'll do my best!
It's great to network, isn't it?

Abraços!

Hey Michael,
Thanks for the invite.
I've actually been a member for awhile just not active. I'll try to participate more but no guarantees:-)
We need to get together about the VoiceThread presentation some time in the very near future.
Cheers
