Im am 26 years old. I am not married and have no children. As a Mexican American in my culture I should of been married at the age of 20 lol. I like the way my life is at the moment. I dedicating my time to school and my job. I am currently working at Patrico Perez Elem. in La Joya ISD. I am a 3rd grade teacher and have been for three years. One year I requested to move to 1st grade. 1st grade was tough, I do not think I can ever do that grade level again. I cried my first day after school. I appreciate everything lower grade teachers do. This summer I decided to go back to school for my masters. My school librarian encouraged me to go back to school. Thanks to him I enrolled and now have four classes out of the way. I go to Sam Houston State University and am working on my masters in Library Science. School has been a bit tough trying to manage work and school but slowly I am getting the hang of things. I love to read and hopefully when I finish the program I can get a job and inspire my students to have a love for reading.

Amanda you WILL get a job. Our grads get jobs!! I wonder if I know your librarian? I would be terrified to teach 1st grade. My mom was a 1-2 grade teacher for many years. But it just isn't for me. I like older learners.
