Facebook is an interesting source of communication. Some of the words and phrases our generation has incorporated into our language associated with Facebook are "facebook stalking" or "creeping", "facebook official" in regards to relationships and "facebooked" to imply one has been contacted through the site.
Facebook is ever-changing. It's interesting to see people's reactions to an updated version of the site. While it takes a few minutes for people to understand the new changes, many get angry they were made at all. But facebook is a free networking site and most eventually comply with the changes.
When it first started, facebook was more of a "college only" site, but now being open to anyone with e-mail, everyone can join. Recently when facebook changed, many people referred to it as "new facebook." Some were upset, others adjusted without complaint. It would be interesting though to know if people most upset were the older, once college-based members or the newer, younger and older people using facebook.
I know my grandparents have facebook and it would be very difficult for them to adjust to the newer version without some help. But I also have older friends in their thirties who complain that "old facebook" was the best and should be brought back.
Technology is ever-changing. Maybe people wish things would never change, that is, until they adjust.
