I couldn't think of anything to use as a post title, so I figured I might as well use that battle cry. It just elicits feelings of excitement and hunger, although most likely confused and misguided.. haha!!!

This year my class and I will be working with our school's library media specialist on a research project involving the native american tribes of New York. We are looking for a class (preferably 4th grade) to coordinate with. This promises to be a lot of fun!

I also plan on blogging with my students, perhaps podcasting on my CBM page. Did you ever feel like your mind is not just racing, it is doing a smokey burnout halfway down the track?

I hope to have some solid uses and introductory lessons for blogging and maybe a class wiki (maybe). Currently, I have my students use a message board feature (although extremely antiquated and severely limited) on our school's website. My class last year really enjoyed using it for assignments and discussions. It was broken up into subject areas, and for its cumbersome self, it did do what it was supposed to do (can you tell I didn't love it). I figure that blogging will be the natural progression for my intention, and hopefully it will be without much limitation.

Wow.. longwinded... just tell me to be quiet and I'll go back to sleep. cya!

if you register at oratiobrevis.com you will be connected with another teacher who's profile matches up with your own. The idea of the site is to connect teachers that use different social networks together. When you're done with the form you'll be kicked over to my site on christonium where I blog about these kinds of things. To just go to the blog go to : http://christonium.com/Jared/

Adam,
Join the Distance Collaboration group. It's full of people who want to coordinate with other teachers. And ask me anything about ClassBlogmeister. Christine and I have many more plans for it this year but it was a HUGE success for the limited time we used it last year. We gave the assignments, they blogged and commented to each other.
