Classroom Webpages

Creating a class webpage has been one of the most experimental and exciting tools for learning and reflection I have found. I would love to hear from anyone who has created a class webpage particularly if you are an infants teacher.

Comment by Christine Southard on May 28, 2007 at 6:56am: I used to be a teacher for infants/toddlers but I didn't have access to technology at that time to communicate with parents/guardians. I recognize now, how wonderful a class website/e-mail would have been for sharing information and resources with new parents.

I always felt like I killing so many trees sending home notes about their child's day as well as fliers about topics relating to their child. With a website you could have everything accessible for parents in ONE place and parents have the right to print the information they'd like.

I think it is great that you're having so much with your class webpage. What feedback have you received from the parents in your class?

The girls were totally engaged in all the activities which they were presented with - can't say enough about it!
