Making Connections

I am excited to make connections with other educators, and to bring our students together through projects that use technology and the integration of many subject areas. I am willing to learn new things, and to share my experiences.

I currently teach Grade 3.

I also have a class blog that enables us to make connections with teachers and students from places near and far. We are the … Continue

Hi Tracy,

With your interest in Education Technology integration, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.

Hi Tracy -- I'd like to invite you to join a Classroom 2.0 group called Canadians Mashup. I'm trying to build a network of Canadian educators and bloggers. No discussions yet. I'm just starting out by trying to find where everyone lives and what they teach. If you're interested, please add me as a colleague as well.

If you add yourself to the map, please include a name or a photo of some sort. There seem to be a lot of unidentified people from unidentified places and the map is getting stuck on for some reason. The problem is that I can't tell from the members’ list which anonymous hits are real people and which were just false starts. The company does not differentiate members unless there is a picture or a name. Location only is not enough to help me know which entries are not real ones. THANKS!!!!

Hi Tracey, I was checking out your classroom blog and was wondering if you could add a rss feed, so I could add it to my reader!

Hi Tracy
We are on 2 week mid semester vacation at the moment so I haven't done anything as yet. We have only nine weeks left of our school year and know I will be really busy with reports etc. so I have decided to wait until the new school year in February to use the Webkinz with my class next year. I will keep droppinby your blog to see what is happening.
Thanks
Jane

Hi Tracy
I have just started a blogmeister blog for my Year 4 class and have bought a Webkinz for my class so that we can join your online project.
Hope you had a good start to your school year. In Australia we are two thirds the way through ours.
I share your thoughts above about making connections with other educators and using technology for myself as an edcator and for bringing the world to my classroom.
