Do not create a sub-domain. Google Apps sees sub-domains as completely different domains. Instead within your Google Apps administration create user sub-organizations.

I'm going to give all kids a Google Apps for Ed account, with tons of tools. My question: do you think something like "How do I use my Google Apps for my projects?" would be a meaningful first project?
By the end, they should know what we expect from them when we say "deliver a project": the documentation, etc. We're learning about how to document, track, and produce a project in Google Apps, using Google Apps.
Our 3 classes that are integrated in this class are Language Arts, Digital Art and Web Technologies. We have 9th graders for 3 hours, one-to-one computing.
