don't know too many apps that work with Google Drive, I did find this article that could be of some help: http://www.practicalecommerce.com/articles/3896-37-Google-Drive-Apps. Of course, it mentions Google Docs and Google Sheets as being easily compatible, but most of us have those downloaded with our Google Drive already. After going through the list, here are some of my favorites: PixIr Express seems to be a very useful app because students can create visuals for assignments; I could see using this alongside reading and writing assignments and sharing this student work through Google Drive. HelloFax or HelloSign may be a good way to keep up communication with parents by asking them to sign documents and send them back to school online. RealTimeBoard is an app that could help students organize with group members online.
Does anyone else know some Google Drive compatible apps they have used that help students visualize, help you collaborate with parents, and/or help groups collaborate easier? I find that these are some the core purposes for Google Drive in my classroom.

to share or upload completed work to Google Drive. For example, we have been able to save completed iMovies to the camera roll, then use the Drive app to upload from the camera roll for sharing or embedding in Google Sites. Easy work flow. We also know that some apps have a "share" or "upload" option that allows you to directly upload to Drive. If there isn't a list, we hope to begin creating one, but, it would be nice to have a starting point!

oogle Apps themselves, the easiness for collaborators to make copies in their Google Apps account, then share the copy with other people in the same Google Apps scheme and/or with other contacts. This seems to raise both privacy and copyright issues (as the copier appears as the "owner" of the copy).…
ure. That's what we did in our district.
Again, this depends a little bit on your technical know how - but you can buy a domain name (cheap - $15 or so) and run the standard edition of Google Apps (which is free). It doesn't need to be google apps for education. And then your students can get access to a whole bunch of google goodies.…

Our district uses gmail but but instead of being @gmail.com it is @usd298.com. When I try and log in to use various Google apps. it won't accept my account. Any suggestions?
to do with a lot more than numbers, like researching houses, car shopping, etc. I have used Google Apps for group assignments with that class before. I'm struggling to find ways to use Google Apps in my tenth grade Geometry classes. I'm not sure if I should find a way for the students to collaborate in a discussion like Google Talk, or if it should be used for a project-based assignment like the other course. Any suggestions on ways to bring Google Apps into my tenth grade classroom would be appreciated! I love what the Google Apps have to offer and I use them on a regular basis, so I would love to introduce my students to them sooner rather than later.…
