Jack,
Will forward to my high school colleagues. I am back at elementary working on my Literacy endorsement for National Boards. Too bad you aren't doing it for elementary students, I think MIT would be impressed.
Peggy
I encourage you to join my ning group and also post information about this in the articles section of the Tutor/Mentor Connection web site. You might also set it up as an event on Facebook where it could get attention from multiple programs.
Depending on the date and time, I'm sure my teachers would love to get involved. We live in Hawaii, so the time difference is sometimes a challenge. I'd like more information.
This is a great idea. I'll forward the link to our Ed Tech team and they will know where to go with it in our district. I may use this idea to help my ESL students lean their vocab words.
Hey, I think I've put that on my blog already about the MIT Sat vid contest - we're kicking off the Net Gen Education Project in my class right now and SAT review is a bit later.
I actually blogged about this on my personal blog as well as on the PA Discovery Educator Network blog. I also passed it along to out Language Arts coordinator.
Hi Jack - This looks very cool, but when I watched one of the sample videos ("Obscure"), it included what sounded like a copyrighted song in it. I didn't see anything in the rules about avoiding copyrighted content; are submissions with copyrighted material actually acceptable in the contest?
Hey Jack, I love the idea! I think our students would definitely be interested in this. If you'd like I can paste a blurb into our next Newsletter, which should be going out on Friday January 6th. And, I could also put up an ad/link to the BrainyFlix.com contest. Let me know.
Yes, I do have contacts and I am interested. I am teaching at a brand new high tech high school with an amazing media program. I'll check this out in more detail and get back to you.
Jack,
Thanks for the information. Yes, I do have contacts and I am interested. I will be teaching my students about digital stories and movie making, so I will inform the students about this and see if there are any takers. Also, I have a few multimedia colleagues that may be interested. I may even come up with something myself. Thanks again!
I am slightly interested actually, but I would like a little more information on what is going on, Jack, please send me a comment with maybe a little more detail? I had trouble connecting to brainyflix.com.
Jack,
I forwarded the info to one of the sixth grade teachers in my building. She does SAT vocab prep with her kids and this kind of thing is right up her alley. Thanks for the info!
hey Jack,
I've forwarded the site on to the English teachers at Greenhills. A couple seem enthusiastic about getting something going with their students. I have a bunch of Flip videos that I've been trying to get teachers to use. This could be the project. ll keep you posted.
Jack,
This sounds like a great idea! I will talk to my Language Arts teacher tomorrow and start promoting it amongsts the kids. Thanks for contacting me.
Zulma
Hi Jack, I really don't have any students. However I am going to forward your information to some of the teachers with whom I work in case they might be able to help you. BJ

Probably not for any students I have right now, but I'd be happy to pass the word to other teachers at my school.

I looked at the site and sent it on to my HS Librarian. It sounds fun, but I work with K-5.

Thanks for your note. What a neat idea! I'll certainly be telling my contacts.
Are submissions restricted to high school students only?
