    Jack,
Will forward to my high school colleagues. I am back at elementary working on my Literacy endorsement for National Boards. Too bad you aren't doing it for elementary students, I think MIT would be impressed.

I encourage you to join my ning group and also post information about this in the articles section of the Tutor/Mentor Connection web site. You might also set it up as an event on Facebook where it could get attention from multiple programs.
  • Thomas Cooper

Great idea. I sent it off to the English dept. to see if anyone bits. I'm sure our Film and Video class will do a couple.
  • Jane Perzyk

Our students are school principals and superintendents, but I can mention this to them.

I will pass on the info to our video conferencing person - thanks for the invite!

We are fifth grade students so we are a bit young to prepare for the SATs. Enjoy the contest, though.

Probably not for any students I have right now, but I'd be happy to pass the word to other teachers at my school.

Depending on the date and time, I'm sure my teachers would love to get involved. We live in Hawaii, so the time difference is sometimes a challenge. I'd like more information.
  • Dusti Scoggins

Thanks for the info, Jack! I'll pass it on to the high school instructional coach who can distribute the information in the most prevalent way.
  • Michelle Kraft

My students are already working on this project! It's such a great idea.
  • Laurie Strand

This is a great idea. I'll forward the link to our Ed Tech team and they will know where to go with it in our district. I may use this idea to help my ESL students lean their vocab words.
  • Diana Wieland

Great learning opportunity. I will share it with our facilitators.
  • Jeff Branzburg

    Hi.

I shared the info with a bunch of colleagues a few weeks ago. Great idea.

Hi Jack - This looks very cool, but when I watched one of the sample videos ("Obscure"), it included what sounded like a copyrighted song in it. I didn't see anything in the rules about avoiding copyrighted content; are submissions with copyrighted material actually acceptable in the contest?
  • Sue R.

What fun! I'll pass the news along, and look forward to sharing some of these videos. ~Sue
  • Count Shafula

Hey Jack, I love the idea! I think our students would definitely be interested in this. If you'd like I can paste a blurb into our next Newsletter, which should be going out on Friday January 6th. And, I could also put up an ad/link to the BrainyFlix.com contest. Let me know.
  • Anne Shealy

I think it would be extremely fun! I saw examples of this that someone posted on Twitter. How does one go about participating?
  • Theresa Reagan

    Jack,
I will share this one of my favorite English teachers in the district! Thanks for sharing...and hopefully you'll get some bites. Theresa

    Jack,
Thanks for the information. Yes, I do have contacts and I am interested. I will be teaching my students about digital stories and movie making, so I will inform the students about this and see if there are any takers. Also, I have a few multimedia colleagues that may be interested. I may even come up with something myself. Thanks again!
  • George Thompson

    Jack,

Thanks for your note. What a neat idea! I'll certainly be telling my contacts.

Are submissions restricted to high school students only?
  • Ariandrace

I am slightly interested actually, but I would like a little more information on what is going on, Jack, please send me a comment with maybe a little more detail? I had trouble connecting to brainyflix.com.
