Starting is the hardest part

What is the most difficult aspect of adjusting to a 1:1 classroom? For me, it was going from "sage on the stage" to "guide on the side". I enjoyed being the center of attention; the smartest person in the room; the person with the answers. With the computers, my students were suddenly able to connect with networks of people who had more knowledge than I could offer. That was tough, until i remembered that I now had access to these same individuals and tools and took the challenge upon myself to begin learning all over again!
