There might be value in creating a Language Arts subgroup in Classroom 2.0. Any comments?

I'm interested in ideas for encouraging writing through publishing online. Do you know of well constructed sites for children to post their writing, where others might give feedback and even mentor students? KidPub looks good but there is an annual fee.

If we don't use the net for publishing kids' stories we're missing out on a powerful motivational experience.

I'm not familiar with KidPub, but my students have used our classroom blog to bounce ideas off each other and to share published/works in progress. Our blog site is http://talentedtexans.blogspot.com. I know the site has motivated my kids more than ever before. I'm also doing some research on a new site where kids can record their voice and sketch illustrations in real time.
