It might be easier to use a Wiki instead of a blog. We use Wikispaces. (I'm not familiar with Blogger.)

Hi Katherine,
I have the same issue. My students and I are relatively new to blogging, and we have now reached a point where we would love to have a "global audience", and also read and comment on the blogs of other students. Our class blog can be found at: http://misterb.globalstudent.org.au/
Let me know if you'd like to "connect" our students.
(By the way, my students are Year 5/6 (10-12 year olds) from Camperdown, Victoria, Australia).

I have high school freshmen (age 14-15) and seniors (age 17-18), and I would love to connect with yours! I am in Illinois, USA. Our blogs are just beginning, but I will certainly stay in touch in the coming weeks. Thanks for your website. My very new "parent" blog for my seniors is http://collegewriting2009.blogspot.com. It will be fuller soon.

Hi Katherine,
I'm guessing that you will also have a parent blog for your freshmen at some stage? Given that they will be closer in age (and writing/blogging ability) to my students they may be a better match. Let me know if this is the case, and we will keep watch as your students begin to add posts!

The Student blogging Challenge has just started this week and it is an excellent way of connecting students with other students from around the World while also stepping them through the blogging process. Each week they are given tasks that help them connect with each other while improving their skills.

You can read more about it on this post - our last challenge had 1000 students, from 15 countries, aged 6 to 18 years old from a wide range of blogging platforms.

My high school seniors enrolled in a course to prepare them for writing in college need an outside audience for their blogs. Suggestions? Our "parent page" is http://collegewriting2009.blogspot.com and student blogs are linked from there. I would appreciate any and all commentary you or someone else might be able to leave for the students to make this all more "real."

Good to hear and you will enjoy. It only started this week and already over 300 blogs.

The count yesterday was 253 individual student blogs and 65 class blogs participating from twelve countries (USA, Austalia, New Zealand, Argentina, Mexico, South Africa, Spain, Hong Kong, Canada, Scotland, Thailand, Venezuela).

For those that would like to be helpers and gain experience but aren’t in the position to be a Challenge participant but would like to be involved in a less formal manner -- we are also looking for Student blogging challenger helpers.
