Let's Talk Parents

What is the best way to deal with certain types of parents?  The ones that just don't care or the ones who are in denial that their child has problems.  How about the helicopter parents that hover over their young?  What is your trick to calming an angry parent?  Thanks in advance for any advice/comments.
