Hello all. Probably some of you already know this, but I just got back from Europe and in the International edition of Newsweek (August 6th) there is an article, "Power in Numbers", on how the United Nations is using wikis to create documents with authors who are spread out across the globe. If you are a newsweek subscriber you should be able to access this through their archives.

Talk about giving students access to something that has real world applications.

That is very cool. Unfortunately, I don't think the same think could ever be done at the national level. There are simply too many politics involved for everything to be transparent. Then again,somebody could certainly prove me wrong.
