Adina's Deck, The Pilot Episode, received more winning recognition. Last year it won "Best Student Film" at the International Family Film Festival. Last month it took 2nd Place from the Kid's First Coalition of Quality Childrens Media. This week it won BEST SHORT FILM in the Young Audience category at the Eugene International Film Festival. The Pilot Episode touches on the cyberbully phenomenon, and the effects on those bullied and the bullies. More than 1000 students watched it and discussed it at Vandenberg Middle School two weeks ago.
The World Premiere of Episodes 2 and 3 will take place this Saturday in Modesto at The State Theatre. Episode 2 deals with On-Line Predators, while Episode 3 examines Plagiarism and Cheating. Adina's Deck episodes are designed to promote awareness and discussion among pre-teens, teens, their parents, and teachers in an interesting and fun way.
