RDED 535: Video in the classroom
June 14, 2010

All these angles were pretty fun to do. My participants were not that willing today to get long enough shots on some of the shots so I could crop and edit to put into a video. The participants will need to be able to do the shot for at least 7 seconds so you can have enough film time to crop some out. They could all pretty much be used in a classroom video, the ones that I liked the most for a video would be the close up, full shot and the eye level shot because you are able to fully see the individual and would make good shots to record a message or do a small play or production and use those ones to put the video together. The close up is really nice to fully see the emotions and expressions that the individual is doing and the full shot would be nice so show all the actions and movements the individual is doing. The profile would be good as a still like a picture to use for a mothers day gift maybe where you could project it on the wall and trace and cut out and put on colored paper or on a card, I have seen it done in some of the other classrooms at my school. The over the shoulder shot could be good if you were having the students do interviews and they are the interviewer. I enjoyed filming all of them considering the technical difficulties that I had and not having a microphone recorder on my camera or a voice recorder program on my computer to record myself talking. I hope you like the music I was able to put on there. I can’t wait to actually try to do these in my classroom maybe as a holiday gift or something.
