My daughter made this when she was 14 because she was frustrated with the way Curley's wife was characterized. She wanted people to see the female victim as a young girl whose hopes and dreams were never achieved.
My daughter is severely dyslexic and found it very difficult to write essays. Her teacher refused to allow her to do video critiques, so she created this on her own.

Her long term goal is to become a director, her short term goal is to be a dog groomer because she loves animals and is working in a pet store. The funny thing is I have no doubt she will be successful because she has such a strong need to learn new things (the result of personality and early home schooling that made her self directed).

Hi Skip, that's my reading of what my daughter was trying to express. High School was a very bad experience for her and she dropped out without finishing. Very sad because she is very bright.

I suspect she will go to university as an adult student because she is a voracious learner. Smile!

I tell her story because it is the story of thousands of kids who for various reasons don't fit traditional classrooms.
