- I am a non-tradional college student in my 3rd year of study in childhood education 1-6. I am a mother of three and a grandmother of 5. I earned an A.S. in Childhood Education 1-6 this past May. This is my attempt at a second lifetime career. Previously I was a dance instructor/business owner for 38 years. I always thought dance was my passion, but have discovered teaching is what I was born to do no matter what the genre.
