Managing ipads in schools

I would like to start a discussion on using ipads in education.  I would specifically like to discuss management issues.  I see two different scenarios, one being a mobile lab situation and other being a single ipad used by a teacher with a variety of students.  I would like information on such things as who can add apps, what itunes account do you use, what happens to apps when a teacher leaves and you no longer have the itunes account, how often do you synch, issues with the volume purchase…See More

"Not a problem. I had a question regarding the SMART Board videos. Does the teachers put the videos online so students can see them from home?"

"Thanks David.  Many of our math teachers have SMART Boards and they use the record feature of the Notebook software to create videos.  I will investigate Microblogs.  Thanks for the info."

Math collaboration tools

I work with K-12 teachers in a variety of districts in southern Wisconsin.  We are working on integration 21st Century Skills into the curriculum.  I have found lots of great collaboration tools such as Google Docs, wikis, and Glogster.  Where I am having trouble is collaboration projects for high school math that teachers can integrate into their curriculum and that meet their standards.  Does anyone have any ideas for high school math collaboration projects?See More

Hi Tara,

With your interest in Online Instruction platforms, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Here’s a Public Class on Technology Integration you might be interested in given by Nellie Deutsch.

Hi Tara!

Hope you're enjoying the winter break. I was wondering if you, your educator contacts or students would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Wisconsin!

You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
