About Me
Mr. Guerwane is a native of Morocco, and now he finds himself living in Bowling green,Kentucky. After graduating from the Institute of Tourism of Marrakech, Mr. Guerwane took tourism jobs at different tourist establishments in Morocco; he also volunteered his time teaching Arabic, French, and English with the Rotary International in many rural areas around Marrakech. In 2002, he joined the Walt Disney World company as a cultural representative of Morocco, and later, he decided to embark the new career teaching Arabic, French, and Spanish from 5th grade to University level. Mr. Guerwane also taught English as a foreign language at the University of Castilla La-Mancha in Spain. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish and Masters Degree in Foreign Languages Education. Mr. Guerwane started the first multilevel permanent Arabic program in the state of Kentucky. Currently, he is teaching Arabic and Spanish at Western Kentucky University and Arabic language and culture at the VAMPY Program at the Center for Gifted Studies in Kentucky. Mr. Guerwane has served as a teacher of Arabic, French, and Spanish for different public school systems in Kentucky, He enjoys teaching Arabic language and he aspires to help as many public schools as possible in the state of Kentucky and Tennesse to start Arabic programs. Mr. Guerewane has presented research Paper on the pedagogy of foreign language learning and teaching in a number of occasions at the Kentucky World Language Conference, the American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages, Concordia World Language Villages, World Arabic Language Conference in Dubai, and at WISE (World Innovation Summit on Education) in Doha, Qatar.
