About Me: My quest to redirect bullying behaviors began when my son was being bullied in 1991 and no one seemed to know what to do.

I began researching bullying prevention and ultimately developed the Kansas Bullying Prevention program. I provide training on bullying prevention to thousands of people every year.

I now serve as the director of the Kansas Bullying Prevention program. I am among the first people in the U.S. that were personally trained in the Olweus Bullying Prevention program by Dr. Dan Olweus from Bergren Norway. I am currently featured in the "Ask the Expert" section on the U.S. Government HRSA Stop Bullying Now campaign.

My connection to the classroom began in 1983 when I became interested in Law Related education. I became a DARE officer in 1989 and I have taught the DARE program for nearly 20 years. I have been a police officer for nearly 32 years. I wrote the bullying prevention supplemental lessons for the DARE program which reach nearly 31 million children worldwide annually.
