Hello dear friends, here it goes my bio:

Dácio Silveira brings more than 22 years of well-rounded international marketing and brand strategy and startegic channel planning expertise.

His industry experience includes retail, packaged goods, automotive, and financial services. He has also worked in both the business-to-business and consumer markets.

Dácio’s prior experience crosses a wide spectrum of both corporate and advertising agencies. He began his agency career with Contexto Propaganda in Sao Paulo as a marketing trainee, then moved to F/Scali, McCabe, Sloves Propaganda as an account coordinator. Continuing his agency career, Dácio worked for Ogilvy and Mather in Brazil managing direct marketing programs for American Express, Dove, Pond’s, Segrams, Siemens and Quaker Oats.

On the corporate side, he worked for more than 7 years at American Express in Brazil, Latin America and in the United States as a Product and Advertising Manager. His responsibilities included designing and implementing advertising and promotional strategies for various American Express products, launching new products and creating strategic communications plans for American Express global partners – including Walt Disney World, Delta, Continental and Varig Airlines. Most recently, he worked for Publicis Worldwide defining new positioning, and competitive analysis for Nestle’s Nescafé Clásico and Nescafé Frothé for the Hispanic market.

Educationally, Dácio holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Metodista University in São Paulo, Brazil and a Graphic Design degree from SENAI Technical School also located in São Paulo. He has also completed courses in Strategic Planning, Brand Development and Direct Marketing Segmentation as part of the American Express/ New York University management development program.

A native of São Paulo, Dácio is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
