I am a music student that comes from a small city called Mobile Alabama. I graduated from Williamson High School a predominant and traditionally Black High School. My education at Alabama State University has encountered some detours and interruptions. Tours in the United State Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and the fatherhood of five children has contributed to a sum total of ten years in reaching a four year bachelors degree. I have been a teacher in the state of Alabama for ten wonderful years. And although I have been pink slipped for eight of those ten years I still cherished each of the positions and the students that I have had the privilege of teaching. My basic philosophy in life is to: 1) never let an individual gauge your success, 2) let the result of your work determine your achievement and let your achievement establish your goal for improvement. 3) Each child is a both an opportunity and a blessing waiting to happen. And finally 4) teaching is just learning at a divine level.
I am a musician that play professionally with several assembles around the city of Montgomery. I work in the church ministry as a musician for the children’s choir and the auxiliary musician for all other choirs at New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. I give lessons in instrumental techniques to members at a reduced cost and give clinics and workshops around the city.
I am, finally, a producer that writes and records original song and live concerts. I have work with artist such as Lee Fields, Ronnie Lovejoy, and Stephanie Pickett, just to name a few. I have done music for some plays and musicals around the state.
