I have talked to several teachers about doing this project with my students. We do a short power point with video as a project at the end of our sixty day course. I want to introduce the idea to the kids and give them this as an option. My only problem is that I do not have access to uploading anything to the web without administration approval. I will have to check this out.

PS I teach 6th 7th and 8th. Is this limited to only 8th grade?

We are also starting a video productions/editing class that I will be teaching next year, so perhaps this could tie in somehow.

One comment the kids made when I showed them the existing videos was that videos looked a lot like workbooks on tape. It is curious that talented technologically able folks end up with talking head movies that promote the use of video in the classroom or workbook like videos. I don't know if my students can do any better, but I will encourage them to try. Thanks for asking.
