We are fifth grade students so we are a bit young to prepare for the SATs. Enjoy the contest, though.

Great idea. I sent it off to the English dept. to see if anyone bits. I'm sure our Film and Video class will do a couple.

I encourage you to join my ning group and also post information about this in the articles section of the Tutor/Mentor Connection web site. You might also set it up as an event on Facebook where it could get attention from multiple programs.

The video contest is a great idea. Since my students are K-8, we will be participating, however. I hope the contest is very successful.

Jack,
Will forward to my high school colleagues. I am back at elementary working on my Literacy endorsement for National Boards. Too bad you aren't doing it for elementary students, I think MIT would be impressed.

Hi Jack,
I am on sabbatical this year but will send the link to my colleagues. The sophomores at Natick High School do a project called visual vocab, which is a real hit. Maybe the juniors will take visual to video!

My English teacher let her kids know about the site, even though she is not planning on requiring creating a video as an assignment. One of her students decided to submit a video on his own. I hope more will follow after she shows the video to her class.

I'll send it out to someone at the other campus. I am not sure who will participate but I will pass this along.
