This looks interesting. I'll let some classes know about it.

Just curious -- what kind of license is your content under? CC? (As you might know, we have a completely public domain dictionary and glossary builder at http://dictionary.k12opened.com. There might be a tie-in to this.)

I'd recommend contacting Joe Fatheree, an award winning film maker and teacher. His e-mail address is fatheree@frontiernet.net. He coordinates a student film festival every spring in southern Illinios. Good luck.

Hi Jack, I really don't have any students. However I am going to forward your information to some of the teachers with whom I work in case they might be able to help you. BJ

hey Jack,
I've forwarded the site on to the English teachers at Greenhills. A couple seem enthusiastic about getting something going with their students. I have a bunch of Flip videos that I've been trying to get teachers to use. This could be the project. ll keep you posted.

Jack,
I forwarded the info to one of the sixth grade teachers in my building. She does SAT vocab prep with her kids and this kind of thing is right up her alley. Thanks for the info!

I am slightly interested actually, but I would like a little more information on what is going on, Jack, please send me a comment with maybe a little more detail? I had trouble connecting to brainyflix.com.

Jack,

Thanks for your note. What a neat idea! I'll certainly be telling my contacts.

Are submissions restricted to high school students only?

Jack,
Thanks for the information. Yes, I do have contacts and I am interested. I will be teaching my students about digital stories and movie making, so I will inform the students about this and see if there are any takers. Also, I have a few multimedia colleagues that may be interested. I may even come up with something myself. Thanks again!

I think it would be extremely fun! I saw examples of this that someone posted on Twitter. How does one go about participating?

Hey Jack, I love the idea! I think our students would definitely be interested in this. If you'd like I can paste a blurb into our next Newsletter, which should be going out on Friday January 6th. And, I could also put up an ad/link to the BrainyFlix.com contest. Let me know.

Hi Jack - This looks very cool, but when I watched one of the sample videos ("Obscure"), it included what sounded like a copyrighted song in it. I didn't see anything in the rules about avoiding copyrighted content; are submissions with copyrighted material actually acceptable in the contest?
