What new Internet technologies will you introduce in the classroom this year?

With the new school year upon us, I thought it would be interesting and informative to learn what types of Internet technologies you are considering using for the first time in this coming school year. There are so many engaging and potentially helpful technologies available via the web. In addition to the types of technologies you may be introducing to the instructional process, how do you envision these tools improving learning outcomes (because that’s what its really all about in the end, isn’t it)?

We’d love to hear from you, so please click here to take this very brief survey - it shouldn’t take more than a couple seconds to click off the technologies you are considering. Results will be summarized and shared next week. Seeing the feedback from your peers may be pretty informative, so please take a moment and provide your input. Thanks!

I hate to admit this but none.
I only have one computer in
my classroom for my use only.
My school doesn't feel that
having computers in classroom
for student to use is important.
If a student wants to use one
then they will have to use the one
at home, if they have one.

Well that stinks, but of course, many schools do not have computers in most classrooms, but do provide access in computer labs, a library, or elsewhere. If your students have access to computers somewhere (at home, public library), you can leverage this in many ways, to offer students an opportunity to learn more about the subject being taught, conduct research, better understand the technology, etc. Of course, this still depends on all students having somewhere that they can use a computer!
