As a student, I constantly feel I am learning as I go. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday I go to class and something new is shown to me whether it be a way of testing students, a new form of technology, or the best way to decide what device is right for what student. Information is thrown at me constantly and while at the time I feel overwhelmed and as if I cannot comprehend it all, in the end I am able to hold onto part of some type of new information and the learning process begins all over again. I am able to expand on that one piece of information and eventually I learn a new fact or way to be a better teacher. I constantly feel that I am learning. It may be overwhelming and I seriously may just want to stop and say I know enough, but in the end I love adding to my knowledge. Everyday, I feel like I am becoming a better teacher and one day will be able to have the same affect my teachers have had on me on one of my own students.

I am currently working on a professional network project for a class, which is how I stumbled upon classroom 2.0. I am also a part of twitter, QIAT, and a few facebook groups. However, I feel that Classroom 2.0 has been the most interactive and beneficial. My main focus is assistive technology. I am very curious to see what types of assistive technology people have used and their thoughts on the devices. I have had the opportunity to work with a couple assistive technology devices from being a substitute aide. I have learned about several different assistive technology devices in my classes; however, I would like to hear about your experiences and your thoughts on assistive technology. So, in a nutshell, what are your thoughts?

Sincerely,

A teacher in the making
