Intonatio, the mobile app for improving your musical intonation

The mobile app Intonatio is an educational application that will help music students and amateur musicians improve their intonation through lessons, games and audio clips.

Intonatio is already available for iOS devices and is coming soon to Android, as well.

Intonatio has been specially designed to help music students and amateur musicians improve their intonation. When playing most instruments or when singing, musicians must tune each note with the aid of their ear, their training and their musical talent.

Intonatio takes advantage of the mobile application format to provide a series of exercises, games and audio clips that will help musicians awaken and train their ear for intonation. Improving concentration and musical memory, as well as helping people learn and distinguish various auditory sensations, are the main objectives of this app.

The lessons and games will help users learn when one tone is higher than another, when a two-note interval is in tune or one note is sharp, or if a tone is in tune with a major or minor chord – all of this in a way that is progressive, fun and intuitive.

In the “Audio” section, the musician can select the desired tuning (A-440, 442 or 445) and choose between major or minor chords in various keys to practice tone and tuning exercises (sustained notes, arpeggios, intervals, etc.) accompanied by the audio clips. By hooking the mobile device up to a set of speakers, users can even practice playing as if to the accompaniment of a piano.
