I am thinking celly could be useful in the school environment.  Although students at my school are not currently allowed to use cell phones during school hours, I think the tools available could be utilized outside the classroom.  I could use celly to remind students of important assignments or deadlines. I could also pass along calendar changes and/or additional alterations in the syllabus.  I also like the polling feature; I could poll the students on anything from whether to have a quiz on a Tues. or a Wed. to whether or not Hester Prynne has learned a lesson from her scarlet letter.  We could discuss the results electronically or the next day in class.
