ACTION PLAN : BATIK


BATIK is drawing or a painting or a form of writing on cotton cloth, applied with the aid of a tool called canthing

The objective :


In this project students will share idea about drawing or a painting or a form of writing on cotton cloth


Driving question :


  1. What is meant by “ batik”?
  2. What equipments needed ?
  3. What process should be prepared in making batik?
  4. What is meant by “mbabar”?
  5. What is meant by “ngethel”?
  6. What design can be applied as “batik motifs”?


Content learning :


  1. In this project students will acquire the following base knowledge :
    • The students will know about iEARN to get the whole information about it
    • The students will know the objectives of the objects and advantages they can get from this project.
    • The students will enhance their social skills by working together groups.
    • The students will enhance verbal and written communication by writing and reading essays ,and short stories by giving feed back.
  2. The students will learn the following terms,principles and facts.

. The students will learn new world by writing and reading other students writing.


. The students will develop critical thinking and creative writing techniques.


3.This project addresses the following curriculum areas :

. Art


. ICT

Ø The students are devided into four groups

Ø The students read messages on this project from other students writing.

Ø The students give constructive respond on them

Ø The students discuss their own topics of writing

Ø The students discuss the responds they get from other students.
