The 6th graders at Chichester Central School in Chichester, New Hampshire (USA), would like to invite you to participate in our blog.  We have created a blog, which we hope will allow us to explore varying diets from around the world.  Our goal is to understand what other country’s diets consist of and what they consider to be healthy.  Here in New Hampshire, we eat a lot of seafood and lobsters as we are so close to the Atlantic Ocean.  We also grow and eat fresh corn, apples, strawberries, blueberries and even pumpkins.  If you are interested, please visit our blog at cgagnon@edublogs.org and respond to the “World Diets” page.  If you respond, it would be helpful if you could include which country or area of the world you are responding from.  If you are not interested, it would be much appreciated if you could pass this along to a friend or colleague that may be.

We here in New Hampshire look forward to your response.  Thanks

-Chris Gagnon – 6th grade teacher

Το 6ο γκρέιντερ στο Chichester Central School στο Chichester, New Hampshire (ΗΠΑ), θα θέλαμε να σας προσκαλέσουμε να συμμετάσχετε στο blog μας.

Hi. Welcome to Classroom 2.0 I am starting a new program at my school called "Beyond the Classroom" and I hope you will be a part of it.  My Goal: connect my students in Brandon, South Dakota, USA  to other students around the world to learn about school and life in other countries. I want to connect with five different places around the world and correspond via my blog to learn about culture and life in our respective places. I teach 6th grade (11-12 year olds) but the subject and age doesn’t matter. I have done this in the past with places like Turkey, Scotland, and Brazil. There are many things we can do with this to make it a very enriching experience. If you are willing to be a part of this, we will talk about the details at that point. My school year starts August 22, 2011.  Visit my blog to learn a little bit about me and my teaching.  http://waterforsixthgrade.blogspot.com

Thank you for your consideration.
