- I have taught kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades over the last 23 years. I have a great interest in improving my teaching practices and in maximizing student learning. These interests lead me to become involved in the process of becoming Nationally Board Certified. I achieved this certification in 2004. This experience completely changed my view of education and gave me the biggest AH HA of my teaching career, " Students are capable of achieving far more than what we think they can do. Students are only limited by our limited vision.
