About Me: I m Wickramarachchi Abeysiriwardana Premaratne , usually called as “Prem”. So I like any body to call me Prem which is easier to pronounce too. I m a BSc engineering degree holder who passed out from University of Moratuwa in 2001.soon after passing out the university, I was employed in a private consultancy firm called Solid Engineering, while I was working in this firm, I lectured AutoCAD in IDM computer Studies Pvt Ltd which is highly recognized institute in Sri Lanka.

As a civil engineer who worked in private firms, I had to practice all engineering matters such as structural designs, preparation of drawings using AutoCAD, 3D modeling in AutoCAD, combined work with Excell and AutoCAD in case of preparing BOQs,

I started learning AutoCAD with Release 12 , which was available at that time in the university, thereafter ,as a practicing engineer I had opportunity to work with all other versions which released after R -12, In other words I m well familiar with AutoCAD R-12/13/14/AutoCAD 2000/2002/2004/2005/2006/2007/2008 and the latest release AutoCAD 2009.

In 2005,after Tsunami devastation in Sri Lanka, I was employed in international non government organization (INGO) called Plan International. I was employed in this organization as the in-charge of school building construction. I had to play significant role in this organization. Some of the works I did are designing child-friendly school buildings ,Preparation of Drawings using AutoCAD, assisting technical staff, reporting to the PSM (Program Support Manager),Tendering ,Tender Evaluation, Awarding contracts, monitoring ect.., Total project cost I handled was 10 Million dollars.

Currently I m working as a Project Manager of one of biggest project called construction of Administrative Building Complex Project whose project cost is 20 Million dollars. I m assisting 60 no. of staff personal and 250 nos of work force.

In addition to the AutoCAD , I m well familiar with structural design packages such as GRASP and STAAD pro and project management packages ,MS Project and Sure Track .
Currently I m following my Master degree from University of Moratuwa.

I m very much interesting in teaching in my leisure. Therefore I have been lecturing AutoCAD since 2001 and structural design from 2006 in highly reputed firms.
