I'm an activist. I help animals and I help people. My father was an actor, voice-actor, dancer, comedian, who worked on the vaudeville stages in the 1930s and who was a featured radio, stage, movie, and television actor/comedian. The minority actors of his generation had to take stereotyped roles in the early days because that was all the work that was available to them. They are occasionally unappreciated for their role in history; but the truth is they paved the way for the actors of today.
In 1950, my parents created and opened a legitimate theater (playhouse) dedicated to education through entertainment, to provide those performers a place to act in roles that they were denied elsewhere. They won many awards for their work. The buildings were taken in eminent domain in the mid-1990s (after the Northridge Earthquake) and demolished in 1998 as part of the redevelopment agency's urban renewal project. We then moved our theater business online where we sell nostalgic classic movies and television shows (comedy, drama, westerns, silent movies, documentaries, etc.) to fans, collectors, and educators.
We are a 501(c)(3) non profit charity.
