- I taught grades 1-6 ELA-R for 23 years and am now an education specialist at ESC Region 15 in San Angelo, Texas. My students of 18 years are from a rural high poverty area and have very little access to books. I am in the process of opening a library in that small community for my students and their families. I also have 2 daughters, a husband and two wiener dogs that round out my life.
