About Me: If you were raised in a southern state the acronym G.R.I.T.S. (Girls Raised in the South) was cohened by someone to refer to girls who are natives of the south. I am a native of and I currently live in Savannah, GA. Well this Georgia peach is a blessed mom, wife, and grandmother. I have two adult daughters and two grandchildren. I am fortunate to have my immediate family living in Savannah and I also have 3 brothers, 3 sisters and 1 aunt who live in the city.

I am employed with the Beaufort County Public schools as a Business Education teacher. I am certified to teach grades 7-12 and I have taught vocational and high school. I am presently teaching computer keyboarding/applications on the middle school level. I am assigned to Hilton Head Island Middle School which is located in the Southeastern part of South Carolina. I commute from Savannah to Hilton Head Island during the school year; however, when school is out I am on vacation in Savannah.

I did not start my teaching career right away, instead I ventured into other jobs in my hometown. I became hooked on teaching and have been in the classroom ever since 1981. I love teaching and I love my students.

I have been around long enough to see the changes occurring in technology. It is a great feeling to see how our world has evolved through the decades. Using the new technologies in everyday life is amazing. Man continues to use his mind and talents to bring forth new innovations that help make our lives easier.
